In order to ensure continuous power supply to the “Lunnoe” Mining and Processing Plant (MPP), “Serebro Magadana” JSC, “SPECENERGO” company has manufactured and delivered the 110/10(6) kV mobile modular substation (MMS).
The 110/10(6) kV MMS with transformer capacity of 10 MVA is constructed in the form of two independent movable high voltage (HV) and low (LV) voltage modules. The HV module includes:
- gas-insulated 110 kV switchgear (GiS);
- 110 kV 10 MVA power transformer.
The HV module block-container accommodates a cubicle switchgear (CSG) of 10(6) kV, combined with a general substation-wide control center.
The use of MMS allowed the customer to reduce power supply costs by few times, while the MMS, due to its high reliability, works efficiently even under the harsh conditions of the Far North, which is especially important for remote and hard-to-reach mines. Another key advantage of the substation is its maximum factory readiness, which significantly speeds up the commissioning process, saving time and resources for the customer.
The Lunnoe MPP is located in the Omsukchan Urban District of Magadan Oblast. This facility is part of the Dukatsky hub, which also includes the Omsukchan gold processing plant (GPP). The plant processes the ore from the Lunnoe and Arylakh deposits, as well as a concentrate produced at the Omsukchan plant. The Dukatsky deposit, which is part of this hub, is the third largest silver deposit in the world and the largest silver mine in Russia.
