SPECENERGO has manufactured a 110/10 kV mobile modular transformer substation (MMS) for the power supply of the Tas-Yuryakh oil and gas condensate field in Yakutia.
The 110/10 kV MMS with a transformer capacity of 10 MVA is designed as two modules:
The High Voltage (HV) module is equipped with a mobile 110/10 kV, 10 MVA oil transformer, 110 kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS), a 110 kV surge arrester, and an oil receiver and oil collector;
The Low Voltage (LV) module houses 10 kV Metal-Clad Switchgear (MCS) cubicles and an auxiliary control building containing auxiliary power supply cabinets, transformer protection panels, and a central alarm system. The equipment is installed inside a block-container with auxiliary systems — lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and a fire alarm system.
The key advantages of the MMS are its mobility and 100% operational readiness immediately after installation. The design allows the equipment to be transported via standard roads, including sections with difficult terrain. This solution is optimal for organizing temporary or permanent power supply at hard-to-reach sites, while simultaneously minimizing transportation costs.
After delivery to the site and the completion of commissioning works, the 110/10 kV, 10 MVA MMS will provide power supply to the construction infrastructure during the development of the Tas-Yuryakh oil and gas condensate field. The goal of the construction is to create the infrastructure for oil and gas extraction and processing at Tas-Yuryakh. The field is located 75 kilometers south of the city of Mirny and is one of the largest in Russia. The development plan includes the construction of production wells, oil storage facilities, pipeline systems, and related infrastructure.
