Two 110/10 kV Mobile Modular Substations (MMS) for PJSC Rosseti — MES of Center

SPECENERGO has manufactured and delivered two mobile modular substations (MMS) with a capacity of 25 MVA and a voltage class of 110/10(6) kV for the needs of the branch of PJSC Rosseti – Main Electric Networks of Center (MES of Center).
  • Each MMS consists of three semi-trailers with mounted equipment:
  • A 110/10(6) kV, 25 MVA power transformer;
  • 110 kV Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS);
A 10(6) kV module, designed as a block-container housing 8 Metal-Clad Switchgear (MCS) cubicles, as well as an auxiliary control building with relay protection, control, telemechanics, and communication cabinets. The substations are mounted on semi-trailers, enabling transportation via public roads and rapid deployment at the required location. The delivered MMS will be used as an emergency reserve for:
  • Rapid restoration of power supply in the event of accidents at stationary substations;
  • Supplying consumers during scheduled repairs and reconstruction of power facilities;
  • Temporary power supply to new or isolated facilities;
  • Supporting grid infrastructure during peak loads or emergency situations.
The branch of PJSC Rosseti – Main Electric Networks of Center (MES of Center) operates in the Central and Northwestern Federal Districts. Its service area includes 17 constituent entities of the Russian Federation with a population of over 38 million people. MES of Center is responsible for the uninterrupted operation of 26.6 thousand km of power transmission lines and 179 substations with a total transformer capacity exceeding 98 thousand MVA, ensuring the electrical connection of the unified energy system of the Center with the energy systems of the South, Northwest, Volga, and Urals. The use of MMS will improve the reliability of power supply and reduce response time to emergency situations.
